Had such a fantastic visit to the RAF Museum! The staff were absolutely brilliant & many of them being ex-pilots made the whole experience so much more authentic and fascinating. A special thank you to Kevin, who went above and beyond for us. Not only did he share incredible insights and stories behind the aircraft, but he also made the simulator experience unforgettable for me and my toddler daughter. She was absolutely elated, and Kevin’s knowledge, warmth, and playful nature with her made the trip truly special. As a private pilot myself, I especially appreciated the passion and depth of knowledge throughout the museum. We squeezed this visit in on our way to the beaches in the south, and I’m so glad we did, it was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

The amazing team of volunteers makes a visit to this epic aviation museum even more special. Meeting Stu, a fantastic volunteer, hearing about his time flying the (literal) Phantom II next to the carpark was really special and gave you that connection to history you wouldn't get without a volunteer and guide like Stu. All the volunteers at Tangmere are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. Being able to enter the cockpit of the spitfire was phenomenal - the volunteers also engaged the children at the museum with the flight sims and different cockpit experiences. We had a surreal moment as a visiter from Belgium was passionately discussing how they (the volunteer and him) had flew F-16s and chatting about aircraft. While it is a medium sized compact space, it is brimming with history, artifacts and charm. It also has a lovely caffee with plently of outside seating available. We didn't get through all the museum and we were there for just over three hours! I would strongly reccoment a visit to Tangmere Military Aviation Museum and have a chat with the various volunteers (and guides) about their stories and the background of the various planes.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would highly recommend the guided tour. An airbase with a rich history in British aviation, including the Battle of Britain era. The museum also has a real Hawker Hunter jet on display, along with a replica of the experimental Marine Spitfire. Well worth a visit.

Amazing aviation museum—a must-visit! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. It looks small, but it’s full of fascinating history and real stories. Special thanks to Steve for the simulator experience and to Kevin for sharing great insights. The staff were the most wonderful I’ve ever met. I’ll definitely be back! Tangmere… unforgettable memories, thank you ! Lots of love from Turkey 🇹🇷
