Excellent leisure center. Went with my daughter for swimming and it was fantastic. They have an amazing 4 story play area and awesome floating obstacle course which i failed at spectacularly! The staff were super friendly!

Changing rooms are disgusting, not sure when they were last cleaned and that's why I will not remove my flip-flops when entering! I swim 5 days a week and nothing ever looks clean🤮🤢 And as for the showers. . .I'll leave you to imagine. Paid £10 for administration and they couldn't even get that right, 4 bloody times I had to keep asking if my member ship was sorted, Absolutely joke. Don't even get told when they close the lanes for classes, you have to guess, I get out because what's the bloody point staying in a lane when there's so many, I want to swim, not sleep while waiting for someone to get to the end of the pool. I'm thinking of cancelling and going elsewhere.

Water too cold at the pool, too many people most of the time which creates turbulence and makes swimming unpleasant with the choppy water. Asked about availability of the small pool for swimming, was told such and such day but when I turned up they had changed plans. Basically, a mess. Toilets and changing rooms could be cleaner. The pool at the previous leisure centre was old, a bit dirty, but made room for all types of swimmers and those who enjoyed the health suite, which they got rid off on a popular vote (?). Really? I hardly ever see anyone using the "popular" ski slope, tbh! They just wanted to get rid off the "chilled bunch" at the pool. A real shame, there should be room for all in a so-called leisure centre!

The Tarka Leisure Centre currently lacks sufficient shower and changing-room facilities. The premises are not properly cleaned, and cleanliness needs improvement. Recently, the centre has announced plans to raise its fees. Management should ensure adequate shower and changing-room availability and maintain cleanliness before considering any increase in charges. Additionally, the café offers food at very high prices.

Visited as a family during half term, what a great centre. We swam and took part in Tarka Ski for an hour as a family. Tom, our instructor was knowledgeable, patient and was great with our kids aged 11 and 14. Brilliant session and great value, thank you!!!
