Well worth a visit. Best to pick up a map prior to your walk. Accessibility was good but some walks did include steps. While there the tea rooms are worth a visit. Tea and cake were very tasty.

Beautiful park with pathways. There is an easy trail for the less mobile. An interesting Quarry exhibition. There were benches to stop and rest along the pathways and to sit and admire the views. There is a pay and display car park. Very reasonable, £3 for upto 3 hours or £4.50 for the rest of the day. The nose cafe has hot drinks and cakes. Public toilets available.

Tegg’s Nose is an absolutely stunning place to visit — peaceful, fascinating, and perfect for a proper countryside walk. You can choose your pace and distance. There are shorter routes you can do in around 30–40 minutes, or longer trails that take a couple of hours. Some paths are fairly flat and easy, while others are more adventurous where you can climb a little and explore. I personally love walking through the old quarry area and looking at the historic mining remains — it makes such great photo spots and gives the whole place character. The views are incredible. The summit is one of the highlights. When you climb up to the top rock point, you can see for miles — across Manchester, Liverpool, and beyond. On a clear day, the views stretch for what feels like 70 miles. It’s honestly amazing. We also walked through the surrounding fields. There were no cattle in when we visited (they’re usually put in from April onwards), so it felt very safe and relaxed. There were other walkers and families around too, so the atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming. We’ve been on a weekday during half-term and also previously on Valentine’s Day — both times were lovely. Parking is easy with no issues, and there’s even a small café on site, Tegg's Nose Cafe, where you can grab a coffee and use the facilities. Highly, highly recommend if you’re looking for beautiful views, fresh air, and a peaceful day out. 🌿

Lovely walk. I started off at the cafe and done the longer loop up to the summit then down into the forest and back up again. It took me about an hour. Nice and varied scenery. I went in a warm sunny day so it was easy underfoot. You can pay for parking at the cafe and get some refreshments. The walk was fairly easy although the walk back up was tiring…but I did try to beast it and got a sweat on….🥾 🏔️ 🌞

Gorgeous location. Great walks where you encounter everything- bodies of water , wildlife and elevation. 2 routes - a shorter easy one which is suited to all ages amd abilities and a longer more challenging route if youre feeling energetic
