Amazing service today from Bernice i came in with my 5 year old son and she was unbelievable. She was running the desk on her own, she had it all under control the phone was going she was serving people and making sure my son and i were ok as we came in to sign up in the store. She had managed to get us booked onto the next day swimming lessons. She made my life so easy and i left with a very happy 5 year old! She definitely deserves some credit as she went WAY over her pay.
I mostly go there for the gym. It's received new equipment throughout, which is awesome, but now the standard seated leg press and the Smith machine are gone... guess what I was using most! Really good gym otherwise. Wish people would train more than staring at their phones and blocking the equipment.
Great New upgrade. Coffee shop not open yet. Swimming pool was great toddler and baby pool great size. Soft play okay for older children but toddler area didn't have alot in it.
I was honestly pretty disappointed with the renovation. One of the biggest surprises was seeing both the shoulder press and the smith machine removed. The old shoulder press in particular was actually one of the most solid pieces in the gym — stable, smooth and way more usable than the one now. Losing both of those machines leaves a noticeable gap, especially for anyone who trains shoulders or prefers a safer setup for pressing movements. The new equipment doesn’t make up for it either. A lot of the machines feel shaky, the movement paths are awkward and it’s hard to get a consistent workout on them. It’s strange to call this an upgrade when the older equipment was clearly more reliable and better built. I really hope the gym takes another look at some of these decisions. A few smart adjustments — and actually listening to the people who use the space every day — would go a long way in fixing the new issues.
This new gym renovation was extremely disappointing and i expected more. They removed equipment such as chest supported row, so now there is no upper back machine in this so called gym. The machine selection is awful it’s very unstable and unlike the old machines the bars don’t move in sync anymore which is extremely annoying. The layout of these machines is horrendous who ever was in charge of this project should of asked the people who actually use this gym on what they would like to see.
