Great place, loads of space. Trails are great for pushchairs. Great play area for children and on the trails you can spot the fairy doors, fairies and gnomes. The pool itself is beautiful. Has a lovely little gift shop, tea room and ice cream parlour. We even got to feed the new resident pigs. Plenty of free parking, just a donation box you can pop £2 in which is good as you can easily spend all day there. Would be nice to have more picnic tables dotted around. But we put a blanket down on the ground out of the way of the path. The rope bridge is okay if you dont mind heights and it wobbling a lot. Grandchildren really enjoyed it.

What a stunning place! We were visiting Dorset in a week which was not blessed with an excellent weather forecast, but we got lucky with one unexpectedly beautiful day and the Blue Pool was a wonderful place to spend it. The pool really is an incredible blue/green depending on how the light catches it. There are several lovely trails to follow, including right around the edge of the pool and off into the surrounding woodland. Though we are grown adults we adored the fairy door trail and just the sheer peace and quiet around the site. For families, as well as the fairy doors there is a really nice woodland play area. The rope bridge is also great fun, though not for those with a fear of heights! After a good walk following all the various trails, we stopped at the cafe for a cream tea which was delicious and reasonably priced. We were joined for our tea by a very persistent peacock who was ready and willing to gobble up any crumbs we might drop! Very handsome chap and not at all shy. All in all we had the most amazing visit which exceeded our expectations. I am really surprised by comments that say it's too expensive. While the gift shop was a little on the pricey side, entry to the site is really extremely reasonable given the amount of work it must take to maintain it. I could have spent all day here happily wandering, sitting, relaxing. If I lived nearby I would have bought an annual pass there and then; as it is, I am travelling back down to the area in September and 100% will be visiting again.

We visited today for the first time. This place is awesome, we loved every minute. Such a magical experience for kids and adults, lots of simple but effective things to do. We could have spent all day here enjoying the tea rooms, the lake, the walks, woodlands, play area, enchanted trail, peacocks and so much more. Highly recommended and will be back for sure! Love it.

Absolutely fantastic venue. Purposely waited for the kids to be back at school (avoiding half term). So tranquil, with just the sounds of nature (birds, trees, wind, water, peacock calls). The cafe staff were friendly and the food was great with a wide range of cakes available and reasonably priced. Will definitely go again.

I recently visited Blue Pool in Bournemouth and honestly, it was such a nice, chill experience. It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard but still ends up being really memorable. The first thing that stood out to me was how peaceful it felt. As soon as I got there, it was like everything slowed down a bit – just quiet, scenic, and really easy to enjoy. The colour of the water is actually what makes it special. It has this unique blue-green look that changes slightly depending on the light, which I didn’t expect but really liked. I spent a good amount of time just walking around the area, taking it all in. The surrounding woodland adds to the atmosphere too – it’s not just the pool, it’s the whole setting that makes it worth going. It’s also pretty well kept. The paths are easy to follow, and it doesn’t feel overcrowded or chaotic, which I appreciated. It’s more of a relaxed day-out spot rather than somewhere packed with attractions, but that’s kind of the point. You can just wander, take photos, or sit and enjoy the view without feeling rushed. Overall, I’d say Blue Pool is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bournemouth and want something a bit different from the usual beach scene. It’s simple, calming, and just a genuinely nice place to spend a few hours.
