Very interesting place to visit. Knowledgeable staff always willing to help. Disabled friendly. And an amazing cafe with very reasonable food. Cheap to enter and if a senior free to revisit. Free parking.

Great museum, not really big but there plenty of information and things to do. Some good interactive displays. Cafe on site too. My 2 year old grandson had the best time running around looking at all the vehicles and getting on and off the buses.

This British Commercial Vehicle Museum offers an interesting glimpse into transportation history. I think visitors are sure to appreciate the extensive collection of meticulously preserved vehicles! It's a truly wonderful place to learn about the evolution of transport and industry. The exhibits are both educational and engaging for all ages.

The British Commercial Vehicle Museum is such a brilliant place for a day out, especially if you’ve got little ones who love anything on wheels. From the moment you walk in, there’s so much to see and explore. The collection of vehicles is really impressive, with everything from vintage trucks to classic buses, all beautifully looked after. It’s laid out in a way that’s easy to walk around, with plenty of space for kids to enjoy without feeling cramped. What really stood out was how interactive the whole experience is. There are lots of touchscreen displays and QR codes dotted around, which bring the history to life and make it really engaging for both adults and children. It keeps little ones interested while also adding extra depth for those who want to learn more. There’s also a nice little café on site for a break, and plenty of parking which makes the visit really easy and stress free. In terms of value, it’s excellent. You pay on arrival under 4s go free, and an adult ticket is around £12. We opted for the Gift Aid option at roughly £13.50, which means you can return as many times as you like for a full year at no extra cost, such a great bonus! The staff were friendly and approachable, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. My son absolutely loved it his face lit up the whole time, which made the day even more special. Overall, it’s a fantastic, family friendly museum with loads to offer. We’ll definitely be back again!

We visited the British Commercial Vehicle Museum with my 6-year-old son over Easter, not really knowing what to expect—and it turned out to be a fantastic day out. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a friendly member of staff who gave us an Easter bunny hunt to complete as we explored. The bunnies were cleverly hidden around the historic vehicles, making it a fun challenge (definitely not too easy!), and my son loved earning a chocolate prize at the end. There’s plenty to see and do, including an interactive truck driving simulator, and we really enjoyed being able to get up close to most of the vehicles. The volunteers were especially brilliant—knowledgeable, approachable, and always happy to chat and share information. We ended up spending a good few hours there without getting bored. There’s also plenty of parking available, and it’s an easy 10–15 minute walk from Leyland train station. The on-site café was nice for a break, and the gift shop had a good range of souvenirs. All in all, a really enjoyable visit—definitely worth a trip, especially with kids.
