Booked spontaneously for something to do on our Sunday afternoon. I’ll start off by listing pro’s - you get two hours which is plentiful -staff are friendly & welcoming -the play village is tidied throughout the session which is great -completely nut free kitchen and good for allergies Cons -a lot of the toys are VERY tired, I noticed the large dogs/ animals in the vet room were very used and dark coloured, a lot of the Melissa & Doug toys in the school room were again very tired and used, same for the dressing up clothes all tatty. I understand it’s a business and you want to save money but I recognised all the same toys from when I brought my eldest daughter 5 years ago! -the old menu is still online so I was going off of that until I went to the counter to order and was told it’s the wrong menu -When booking the session it was advertised with performers throughout and I was under the impression that’s why the tickets were quite pricey but unfortunately there was a man in a sparkly outfit who wasn’t really making any interaction unless the children came up to him, no performances or dancing/singing like there has been when we have previously attended. -lastly, it’s not the establishments fault but there was a woman sneezing and spluttering all over the place, wiping her nose and clearly really ill as her nose was like rudolph. My youngest daughter now has a raging temperature thanks to this one selfish individual, maybe the play village could make it a bit more known not to attend if you are carrying a virus! Overall was very disappointed considering how much it cost to attend on a weekend and improvements are needed
My 2 year old grandson loved it. It was a two hour slot which was just right as there is a lot to see and do even though at first it doesn't seem big. He ran around and couldn't believe he could touch amd play with anything there. You aren't allowed to take your own food. However the food is resonabily priced and good quality.
I am so glad this gem has reopened. Staff are really friendly, food is lovely and the set up is spacious. The kids love playing with all the village sets and really enjoyed the games and stories told by the staff throughout the session. We will be returning for sure.
A genuinely lovely play village; staff are always very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful - a wonderful experience for the whole family. The village is action packed, with plenty of room for the children and parents to explore. Every little store is full of props that have been carefully thought through and there is more than enough for all of the children which means that there are very few 'sharing issues' as a result (win win!). I highly recommend this place for any parents or grandparents looking for a happy and safe, playful half day with their little ones. Note of caution: If you are over 5:4, just be cautious of the entrance doors into the village stores as they are quite low.
We took our almost 2 year old and she loved it! This place is great for younger kids especially on a rainy day, 2.5hrs went really quick and she loved the dressing up and playing (as well as the kiddies full English breakfast). The staff are so enthusiastic and friendly.
