The Dark Hedges is a beautiful place to visit in North Ireland and a great place to pit stop if headed to the North Coast. We went in March which was very green for the pastures around the trees but the trees were still in their Winter state and not fully bloomed. Overall still an incredible place and likely even better in Summer when the trees are full of leaves.

If you are not a game of thrones fan this you can skip. Visited in April, it was a very crouded place and really can't take any good photos of the road with the trees. Maybe it would be best to visit solo at a non peak time of day. Sadly the trees have a disease and they have cut some of them down.

The Dark Hedges are absolutely beautiful and live up to their reputation as one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic and atmospheric sights 🌳✨. The tunnel of mature beech trees is stunning in person and well worth seeing. However, visiting during peak hours can be a bit challenging. Parking is limited and is mainly available inside a nearby hotel, where both cars and buses park. The parking is a bit pricey and there aren’t many alternatives nearby. From the parking area, it’s a bit of a walk to reach the hedge lane itself, but it’s a pleasant walk through the hotel grounds and parking lot — and the path is stroller‑friendly, which is a plus 👶🚶‍♀️. During busy times, the area gets very crowded, making it difficult to get a clear, photograph‑worthy shot without people in the frame 📸😅. Visiting early in the morning or later in the evening is highly recommended for a more peaceful experience. Overall, a must‑see location — just best enjoyed with some planning.

Oh lord, the available parking is a quagmire. Be prepared for the walk. Storms in the area have meant changes to the overall look of the area. If you're a fan of "Game of Thrones" it's not what you saw on TV anymore. Its still a great place to visit even with the mud and chainsaw action.

Stepping into the Kingsroad today! ⚔️🌲 ​This place is a total dream for Game of Thrones fans. The trees are massive and twisted, and because the road is closed to cars and bikes, you can really soak in the atmosphere without traffic ruining the vibe. ​🚗 Tip:Free parking on ride side, but if want peace of mind, park in the designated lot nearby (£5). It’s super easy and worth it for the views.
