We had a great morning out at the Hidden Village in Leeds. It's located right in Leeds city centre (10 mins walk from Train Station and less to the main shopping area and Corn Exchange), and is a pleasant, safe and well-managed space. The attention to detail on the toy optiond, and the quality of the wooden toys and play materials was really high! I went with 2 adults and 1 child (3 years old) and we all enjoyed it. There are lots of different spaces; a vets, shop, cafe, kitchen, builders, farm, camper van, prison, hair salon and baby sensory area - lots to explore! There's also tables, and hot drinks/food for all ages available. We all enjoyed it, and plan to return :)
My son loved the hidden village. He really enjoyed the different role play areas and especially the vehicles. The cafe was a lovely addition:)
We had such a nice time at The Hidden Village Leeds. It’s peaceful, well set up, and perfect for families wanting something a little different. My child loved exploring, and I loved how relaxed the whole experience felt. A great addition to family-friendly places in Leeds.
We celebrated my son’s fourth birthday at Hidden Village Leeds today, and I was not sure if all of my guests would enjoy it but to my surprise even my 10 years old daughter and a few of her friends who were about 8 or 9 years old loved this place. Amy with another colleague helped us during the party and they were super friendly and caring, looking after everyone to their best. Playing area was nice and clean. I strongly recommend this place for birthday parties
We attended a home educators special event here and we were delighted by the setting, the staff and the atmosphere. It is impeccably clean and tidy, and all toys are set nicely on arrival for the beginning of the time slot. There's a great variation of places to go in the tiny town, and lovely little touches and details like an allotment and veg stand, the central structural pillar being the town clock, a little 'escape' hole in the police cell and a whole postal service! I didn't order any hot food, but I was very pleased to see a great range of vegan options available on the menu. My only (very slight) comment would be that the menu is very bread based, so could possibly add some lighter bites, but that certainly didn't affect my enjoyment of the place! The extra touch of a drink, kids juice and cupcake being included with the entry fee for our special event is so sweet and feels very welcoming. The staff are lovely and very chatty, they speak to the kids respectfully and take genuine interest in what they are saying. The pay-in desk and cafe ordering area are right in the middle of the space so it feels very inclusive of the whole atmosphere and not just something off to the side which works really well. The space is very secure, with no means of toddler/child escape once in the village and seating area itself, this is great for parents and most areas can be seen from the cafe seating area. Finally the toy shop has an astonishingly beautiful selection of toys, most seem to be from brand Tender Leaf, and are all tied in with the theme of role play and imaginative play, and most seem to be in use in the village itself, so it's like taking a little part of The Hidden Village with you. Overall a fantastic and much needed facility in Leeds city centre!
