Right next to the royal navy museum. It's free which is good however a lot of the exhibits weren't working or weren't switched on. Still nice to have a look around.

Good displays and interesting information about the history of Hartlepool. Particularly liked the exhibition about the old Grays art gallery and museum which broughtbackmemories. Some exhibits are looking a little dilapidated, would have liked to hear the monkey hanger song (but it wasn't working). Would be good to include something about the grand old houses around the town. Free to enter.

The local authority badly need to invest in this museum. I’m sure the curators are doing their best job, but so many displays feel like they’re on their last legs.

An interesting museum of ocean going life. Some things were not working but mostly it was a super interesting visit. There is a sound and light show of life on board a ship, lots of insights. A bit gruesome and some more adult friendly commentary, but all was suitable for kids. There are some nice old dioramas of ocean side life.

Not a bad free museum. Plenty to see. Make sure you go outside and take a look at the old boat too. Only downside was brats have been let loose and vandalised and damaged interactive attractions and wrote on the walls.
