Worth a detour! We love this place so much we came two years in a row, even though we are staying in a different town. The staff was very considerate during the heat wave. Placing guests in spots with a nice breeze through the windows or in the shade. I had the coronation chicken jacket potato, which was excellent. I would come back just for that. The rest of my family enjoys the lovely cakes, breakfast sandwiches and the full English breakfast. But this place is wonderful not just for the great food and staff at the café, but the magical setting. There’s a lovely children’s play area on a bluff with a breeze, a nice mix of sun and shade, benches, flowers and a rolling lawn. We felt very welcomed and look forward to returning for a third year. We highly recommend for a relaxed family outing.

Great little visit, lots of interesting herb plants to choose from. Great for fruit trees and vegetable plants. Cute gift shop and a great little cafe.

Nice Garden Centre outside of Banbury, lots of plants and trees to buy. Also nice cafe and a lot of space to walk around and relax.

Beautiful gardening shop, lovely views and great to walk around. The cafe is lovely with amazing art on display to buy, with fresh delicious food and drinks.

We love this place. They’ve recently revamped the children’s play area - it’s fantastic, a little fort like structure with a slide, two swings and climbing wall to one side. There is also little hideout rooms underneath the structure - perfect for hide and seek. The maze is still very much in tact and waist height for a 5/6 year old child. The play area also has a couple of picnic benches, plenty of grassed areas for blankets and a rubbish bin! It has the most incredible views over the sweeping countryside valleys. The cafe is great with an assortment of home cooked meals and sandwiches. They also do a kids lunch and have plenty of juices, ice creams, cakes and sweet treats too. Their plant and herb selection is excellent, plentiful and varied. They also regularly change their plants with a healthy nursery on site feeding into the stock. The staff are always super helpful and very pleasant. It really is a wonderful place.
