Such a wonderful experience my son has had, the team there are amazing and I could see the children had an incredible time. The services provided are great, my son would like to attend regular basis. Went there for my very first kayaking taster lesson today. As there were enough staff and volunteers in the group, Rose the instructor stayed by my side every step of the way because I expressed how nervous I was. My nerves soon disappeared and I had a lovely time. Everyone was really supportive (both staff and pupils). Definitely worth giving it a go no matter how old you are, (I'm 61). Thank you Pirate Castle team.

My daughter had the most incredible experience canoeing with Pirate Castle From start to finish, the staff were so welcoming, encouraging, and supportive. She came away with a huge smile on her face, full of confidence, and proud of what she had achieved. It was more than just canoeing—it gave her the chance to build resilience, try something new, and make special memories. As a parent, I’m deeply grateful for the kindness and care shown by everyone involved. Thank you for creating such a positive and inspiring environment for young people.

The venue is great, and they have a large variety of activities that you can do, mainly centered around the canal, however you are also able to book the hall for dry activities. The facilities are fully accessible, with a lift inside and a wheelchair ramp for the larger narrow-boat. All of the staff are very friendly and inclusive, and regularly do LGBT themed paddles.

I loved my kayak tour with The Pirate Castle 🏰🛶 It's a great charity working with young people in Camden and beyond to promote better life chances and healthier living. The walls nearby are covered in gang tags. Gangs prey on younger people in the area and an aim of The Pirate Castle is to help move them away from gangs and into activities on the canals, forming friendships and 'gangs' they can be proud to belong to. If you're looking for something different to do in London I'd highly recommend their tour, and a bonus is you're supporting their great work too 😊
