Truly great value at £7 per person per hour, and good fun as a one-off visit or multiple times if you are competitive. I have been with my partner twice, once in the old location, and I had sent my uncle and cousins there too, they grew up on PS5s and VR so was fun to see their reactions The retro arcade concept is brilliant, and it is nice to see an independent local family run business doing something different in Belfast. A breath of fresh air compared with the usual modern arcade/pay-to-play venues. Fair play to the RR team.
A brilliant spot. £7 for an hour, tremendous value. Play as much as you like, no coins needed. The kids- 8yo & 11yo- and their da- loved it. 😂🎮🕹👌 Ps. Gary on reception was a legend. 🙌
Absolutely fantastic evening...even the kids that are usually obsessed with their mobile phones had a great time!! Love the range of games both computer and board. We had quite the battle on battleships. Thanks for a great evening
A Solid Hit of Nostalgia, but One Round is Enough. I recently took the family to The Retro Room at Cityside, Belfast. As someone who grew up in the golden age of arcades, I was really looking forward to a "Flynn’s Arcade" (from Tron) vibe. While we had an enjoyable hour, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The Highlights The Nostalgia Trip: It was great to see some of the old classics. Getting to play the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game again was a definite highlight, even if the sound wasn't working on the unit. Perfect for a Rainy Day: It’s a great way to kill an hour when the Belfast weather isn't cooperating. The Lowlights Pricing & Value: We went as a group of four, and I found it quite expensive. There is no discounted rate for children; my 5-year-old and 8-year-old were charged the same price as the adults. At £7 for a 5-year-old—who has very limited options for things they can actually play—it felt steep. A tiered pricing system for small children would be much fairer. Missing Classics: I was really disappointed to find some staple machines missing. I was specifically hunting for The Simpsons Arcade and WWF WrestleMania, but neither was there. Technical Gremlins: The execution feels a bit unpolished. Beyond the silent TMNT machine, the console emulators were very "hit and miss"—some worked fine, while others simply wouldn't load or function correctly. Final Verdict It’s a good one-time experience for a bit of retro fun, but I don’t think we’ll be rushing back. The idea is fantastic, but the execution needs to be sharper and the pricing more inclusive for families with young kids to make it a repeat destination. Would I recommend? Yes, for a one-off visit on a rainy day,
Very cool indoor activity for all the family. We went with our 5 and 10 year olds and there was something for everyone. £7 for an hour of unlimited plays or £25 for a full day pass is a real bargain. Owner is super friendly and the place is spotless. Can't wait to go back!
