Visit websiteVery beautiful and well preserved site! The audio guide was great for walking around and providing extra details we may have otherwise missed! Bought a ticket on the day and it was quiet when we arrived, but there was a huge queue to buy tickets by the time we'd entered, meaning it became very overcrowded walking around. Difficult to have a good look at some parts because of there being so many influencers posing for ages - should really be a limit for how long they hog certain spots as people wanting to actually look at and take in the history had to wait for people to pose for 10 minutes first
A unique, very well-preserved site of ancient history. The audio guide is excellent, with a very engaging narrative, and all the exhibits are very thoughtfully put together. The projections on the walls are fun and make the whole experience feel more alive for something that is nearly 2000 years old. The only downside is the steep entry price. I realise that it takes a lot of money to preserve, maintain and research historical artifacts and sites, and although it felt worth the money for us, I can see how it could make this visit unaffordable for many, which is a pity because there is so much to learn here.
Visiting the Roman Baths in Bath, England was one of the highlights of our trip and an experience I would highly recommend. The site is incredibly well preserved and offers a fascinating look into Roman history, architecture, and daily life. Walking through the ancient baths, courtyards, and museum spaces really gives you a sense of how impressive this place must have been nearly 2,000 years ago. The audio guide was excellent and added a lot of context without feeling overwhelming. I especially enjoyed learning how the natural hot springs were used by the Romans and how the site developed over time. The displays are well organized, and there is a great balance between historical information, artifacts, and immersive visuals. The atmosphere is also beautiful, especially around the main bath where the architecture, lighting, and steam from the water create a very memorable setting. Even though it can get busy, the experience still felt worthwhile and well managed. Overall, the Roman Baths are a must-see when visiting Bath. It is educational, unique, and visually stunning, and it gives you a much deeper appreciation for the city’s history.
I had a wonderful experience visiting the Roman Baths. It is a truly fascinating and beautifully preserved historic site, offering an amazing insight into Roman life and culture. The moment I entered, I was impressed by the atmosphere, the architecture, and the incredible history surrounding the place. The main bath area was especially stunning, and it was amazing to see such an important landmark still standing after so many centuries. The museum displays were very interesting and well organised, with plenty of information to help visitors understand the history of the baths, the Roman way of life, and the importance of the natural hot springs. The audio guide was also very helpful and made the visit even more engaging. The whole site was clean, well maintained, and easy to explore. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming, making the visit smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, the Roman Baths are a must-visit attraction. It is perfect for anyone interested in history, architecture, or culture. I left with a greater appreciation of the past and would highly recommend visiting this incredible and memorable place.
We only had one full day in Bath and were unsure whether to visit the Roman Baths, as it would cost around €30 per person. In the end, we decided to go, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The site is truly beautiful and very educational. It was also a nice touch that an actress wandered around in character, helping to transport visitors back to the time when the baths were bustling and fully operational. It is definitely worth a visit and a great way to complete your day in Bath. In fact, I'd say it's pretty much a must-do!
