Thanks again Victorian folks for leaving us parks. And thanks to todays council staff who despite budgets, keep them as nice as possible. Great music fest by young folk on this occasion too!

The Sele is a lovely park right in the middle of Hexham, with accessible paths and a Victorian bandstand surrounded by beautiful trees. There is a play area with toilet facilities near by, and a skate park for older children and adventurous adults. During the summer there are usually events and outdoor music happens throughout the year, and in winter it has the perfect sledging hill with a choice of gradients. Perfect for somewhere to bring your coffee or bag of chips after shopping in town or just meet up with a friend for a chat on a bench.

Lovely park and grounds didn't get to see it all but will def be back to see more. The park was ideal for a picnic while the little ones played in the park. The ice cream van was great value for money and was lush. The man serving was friendly and helpful. Kids had a lovely day cant wait to return to see more.
