Visit websiteWhat a cute place! Our little one was fascinated. Love the displays and learning about all the characters from her books. The outside garden bit was lovely, some pretty plants and flowers. Nice little cafe at the end.
A wonderful story of Beatrix Potter and how she went on to write so many childrens books that featured so many animal characters. A very well set out display of all the animals featured in the books. A very friendly environment and lovely staff. Disabled friendly also. Clean toilets. Outside there is a wonderful little garden with some reminders of Beatrix potter and the animals. Across the road from the attraction is the Peter Rabbit Cafe serving coffees and cake.
This was one of the loveliest places weve visited! Well worth a visit!! Even if you aren't a Beatrix Potter fan (I mean, who isn't right!?) The place is immaculate and displays are really well kept! You could walk around in 45mins but if you take your time and read/Interactive with all the information and screens its well over a couple of hours. The gift shop is something else!!! Stunning!!!!! But expensive. Can't wait to come back next year!
This was really good for the kids and they both loved every minute of it. There was a quiz they had to engage them as we went around with lots of things to look for. The displays were really good and reflected the stories well and they loved looking for all the characters and were amazed at what they could see. The whole site, even though it has been there for a good few years now, doesn't give that impression as it's really well kept and modernised as time moves on. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, especially with kids who are familar with Beatrix Potter books.
Definitley a must see if you're a Beatrix Potter fan and in the area! The exhibit ticket seemed a bit steep to me initially but after we went through all of the museum I felt it was quite worth it. The installations and statues were very detailed and well done, and if you wanted to you could take a long time to try to catch all the hidden and well tucked away critters in each room. Don't forget to go outside to the gardens which, while small, had some delightfully hidden installations as well. The only part that was a bit disappointing were the two gift shops. I wish they had more variety of gifts like home goods or apparel but what they do have is cute. Lots of it suitable for young kids, like books and toys!
