Absolutely fantastic day out. The tour of the house was brilliant, so informative and personal. We had Adam as our guide who was so lovely and had plenty of stories to tell. The cafe was great and the staff all very friendly. We had the added bonus of the Christmas market which was also great. We have visited Chatsworth & Castle Howard previously and this was by far the best house tour we've done!

Lovely day mooching round the christmas Market, the beautiful gardens and a fabulous tour of the Hall by Andrea! The facilities are great so dog friendly! The staff all looked really happy and were friendly and welcoming. I think that speaks volumes about a place when the staff are happy. Great day out! Loads to see and do!

So different to your usual 'house' visit. Detailed history given as you explore a lived-in family home. No large groups ushered round hurriedly. The gardens are an on-going project of restoration with lots for the kids and adults alike including a reasonably priced cafe.

I went as part of a group of 40 adults. There was ample free parking. The place was easy to find on the map. The kitchen facilities were great. We went on a guided tour on one of the walks. The guide was very knowledgeable on the walks and it was a great experience.

We booked the gardens ticket online and the pumpkin trail was efficiently upsold to us upon arrival. The gardens and numerous footpaths are dotted with golden pumpkins to find, an interesting activity our 5 year old enjoyed. She got to choose a fancy pumpkin and a bag of sweets. A big well stocked sandpit and an ornamental fountain full of rubber ducks got plenty of use. We spent most of the day there and everyone we met was super open and friendly.
