I had a lovely experience visiting Tilgate Park. It is a beautiful place with peaceful surroundings, open green spaces, and lovely walking paths. The park is perfect for relaxing, enjoying nature, and spending quality time with family and friends. The lake area was especially beautiful, with calm views and a refreshing atmosphere. It was a great place to walk, take photos, and enjoy the outdoors. The gardens and woodland areas were also well maintained and made the visit even more enjoyable. There was plenty to see and do, making it suitable for all ages. The park felt clean, spacious, and well organised, with a welcoming environment throughout. Overall, Tilgate Park is a wonderful destination for a peaceful day out. It offers natural beauty, fresh air, and a relaxing escape from busy everyday life. I would highly recommend visiting.

We have been to Tilgate Park previously, but only walked around the lovely lake and play park. This time, we visited the zoo and we were so impressed! Some of the enclosures could do with a bit of updating, but you can see the staff are really trying with the enrichment etc, and the animals were very active and interactive with us and other families. The reptile house and discovery centre were great and the Serval is beautiful! What was also great is it wasn't too expensive and you can get a stamp from the zoo shop so you can come and go all day; so you could go out the zoo for lunch and a play, and go back in afterwards. We have already made plans to come back again and are planning an all day visit in the spring/summer!

I've been visiting Tilgate Park for many years and always have an enjoyable walk, whatever the weather. The walled garden is well kept and always worth a visit. Bought a cake from the cafe to takeaway which was yummy and homemade; although it's not always open so best to check before visiting/ relying on it being open for lunch/ snacks. There are features to see around the park and there are activities if you want to do them. Generally a lovely place to explore

Great park close to K2 Leisure Centre, I discovered this beautiful park while I was walking around the centre between the swimming competition sessions. Great views, the park got woods, nature centre, walled garden, lakes, playground, Goo Ape Tree Top junior, restaurant, picnic tables, station if you want to give a wash to your dog, public toilets and paid parking spaces. Some of the activities are free others you have to pay. Doesn’t matters the age is something for everyone to do, definitely recommended.

Tilgate Park is a fantastic place for a family day out, offering something for everyone. The park is beautifully maintained, with plenty of open green spaces, scenic walking trails, and a stunning lake that makes for a perfect picnic spot. The adventure playground kept the kids entertained for hours, and there’s even a Go Ape for those looking for more thrills. For those who enjoy a bit of relaxation, the gardens and peaceful wooded areas are perfect for a quiet stroll. And if you don’t feel like packing a picnic, the café on-site offers tasty food and drinks. Whether you’re visiting with young children, teenagers, or just looking for a great outdoor spot, Tilgate Park is a fantastic choice! We’ll definitely be back.
