Fabulous place to swim, so lucky to have this so close to where I live. Changing rooms showers and toilet always clean. The booking system is easy to use on the Plymouth Active app. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I have a season ticket and primarily go for the early morning swims. It is calming and pleasant with fresh air and a clean pool area. I feel like it is really helping me. The staff are very pleasant which makes all the difference too. I would recommend. The water is unheated but you soon get used to it!

I purchased a ticket to swim on Sunday morning the night before online. I went on the lido's official website and when you click on the button to book a swim it takes you to the Plymouth active page where you have to create an account to buy a ticket. I got two confirmation emails so was happy that I would be able to swim the following morning. On arriving at the lido promptly at 10am they couldn't find me on their computer system even though I had paid. They asked me to prove I had paid so I went into my banking app but annoyingly I couldn't see the payment coming out. They DO NOT accept the emails from Plymouth active as proof you have purchased a ticket, even though their own website links you to it 🤦‍♀️at this point I was spiralling because I knew I had paid but the panic was kicking in and I felt super embarrassed because I had two members of staff essentially treating me like I hadn't paid and then I had some other people behind me waiting to go through to swim too. I was panicking and close to tears and told them to just take another payment. I had never been to this lido before so asked where I needed to go and was given directions to the changing rooms. I had a swim, which was OK, but considering this was meant to be de-stressing me, its didn't really help much because I was in a high state of distress over the confusion around me paying. When I got out I checked my phone again and realised I had been looking at the wrong account, and that I absolutely 💯 had paid the night before, so they had in fact taken 2 payments from me. I told the receptionist this on my exit and she did offer to give me a refund for the second payment but to be honest I still felt stressed and unwelcome here so I just said no don't worry about it and left. I really dont feel like they believed me at all and it was a rather stressful end to a weekend away that otherwise had been quite pleasant. As someone who suffers with anxiety and who thought I was doing the right thing by purchasing a ticket in advance to avoid disappointment of not being able to get in, I'm not sure I will be going out of my way to return to this lido. The facilities were OK, changing room had quite a few cubicles and lockers and the toilets were clean. Pool was also clean and well looked after. Sunday morning swim on the day I went was not too busy. If you like quieter swims I would say its a good time to go.

Don't wait! It took me too long to make it to the cafe at the Lido and I have been missing out. Obviously the location and view are unchallenged but the layout, menu, prices and cleanliness is really great. Jay and the team run it really well and after enjoying a cheeky lunch on a crisp December day, I'll be back.

Dropped into the Tinside Lido where the pool is currently closed but its a great place to go swimming in the summer. There is a small fee but you can spend all day there. There's great views from the Lido plus toilets and also the coffee pod serving hot drinks that are very reasonably priced. The lovely Lily who served us was a great host. Big thankyou to Lily really enjoyed our coffee and meeting you. Definitely be returning in the summer next year to have the full experience.
