On-site restaurant and cafe offering a full menu with fantastic water views, operated by New Leaf Catering Partnership Ltd
Just went to have a look at the water level which is very low. But still a nice place to visit 👍
Lovely staff and food, clean toilets pretty views from the cafe. Wheelchair friendly. Small shop with nature inspired goods and preserves, again, competitive prices. The is an excellent play area with equipment for young and older children which also has ice cream facilities, I presume at busy times. Well marked walks around, though we only did one near to the visitor centre which was lined with puzzles the kids loved. Car parking charges for disabled over £5.00, which I thought was a bit steep, though the area is very well maintained. Would recommend a visit.
Lovely visit, the cafe and restaurant are lovely. Plenty of choices for lunches, snacks and cakes. Coffees were tasty and service good. The walks were well signed for the 4.8mile Resevoir walk.
Fantastic 7.5k loop of a wonderful reservoir. This was the last part of a 9+ hour adventure starting at the roaches and taking in luds church and the surrounding areas. Visitor centre does great coffee and there is a kids play area and lots of well maintained walkways.
Beautiful location for a day out. Walks through the woods for all abilities, we were lucky enough to see catkin covering the ground. Lovely little beach area would be great for a picnic. Plenty of wildlife, play area for the kids, and a shallow stream ideal for paddling. Cafes, shops, and toilets on site. Lazy trout pub nearby serving loverly food.
