For such a meh place like Toome… and as a visitor for 4 weeks whose gone around, you’d think they’d push the best part of their community, its a pretty walk, it’s a short walk so that means it’s juts a dog rat run…. Because taking their dogs to the countryside is to much hard work , and the end of the walk is spectacular and im sure the sun sets are amazing…. But the dog mess in toome amd especially on this walk says it all…shame they don’t see the potential as locals compared to a visitor like me wishing it was more ..

5 Stars – A Hidden Gem of Tranquility Absolutely loved the Toome Canal Walk! It's a peaceful, scenic trail perfect for a relaxing stroll or a leisurely bike ride. The path runs alongside the water with beautiful views of the canal and surrounding countryside. It's well-maintained and easy to follow, making it suitable for all ages. One of the highlights is reaching the end of the trail, where you're rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of Lough Neagh—breathtaking and well worth the walk. I also enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the chance to spot local wildlife along the way. A great escape from the hustle and bustle—highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
