Only open a limited amount of days (currently Sun/Mon afternoons as of May 26) so check online or phone National Trust. Very limited parking right outside - a small layby. This is a tenanted property so non of the usual NT extras. Either tenants or a volunteer will show you around and talk about history, which I found extremely fascinating. Beautifully kept gardens and really a wonderful little gem of a place. Good quick stop off on your way to larger properties in the area. Don't forget to get your NT passport stamped 😊

This is a lovely old building, one of the oldest buildings in Somerset (and the oldest building in Martock). The great hall is very impressive and you can also see the old Tudor kitchens as well. In the house itself there is the solar block which has an original medieval painting upon it which considering that this has been a private home, that it is still there.

I went here for a wreath making experience. Had a great time.

The Treasurer's House is a medieval building with origins dating back to the early 13th century, making it one of the oldest inhabited houses in Somerset. It was initially built as a parsonage for All Saint's Church and later acquired by the Treasurer of Wells Cathedral, giving it its name. The house features a Solar Block (circa 1250), a Great Hall (1293), and a 15th-century kitchen, showcasing a remarkable range of early medieval architecture. You must book the tour in advance through the National Trust, easy to do we booked for it on the day. The guide is great and gives you loads of information.

You can only visit this place by guided tour. We only did part of the tour as we got called away. The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge and explained it so well. The place was full of history and was very well maintained. There is plenty of parking around the local streets. No toilet here.
