What a lovely place. Great show and great enclosures. Very nice staff. The fairy was so lovely to my little girl too. Very good food at a fair price. My only thing is a worry that the butterflies are escaping into the craft room. I put about 8 back myself and so did others. The door to the room was open too so some may get out.
A first time visit and I have to admit I was impressed. Paid around £45 for one adult and one child (4yo), and whilst its not the largest attraction, the facilities are excellent. They're modern and clean, the play area is suitable for both younger and old children and the interactive displays are fun and more importantly work. The animals appear well looked after; the butterfly house is better than larger zoos (inc. Twycross and Chester). There's ample parking and next to it, there's a nice cafe.
Big vibes. Staff are lovely and the whole place is ran well. Even on a warm sunny Saturday no big queues for anything. Lots of free roaming animals so you can get up close. Even got to see the peacock unsuccessfully rizz up a duck, very entertaining. Would highly recommend to all groups, don’t need kids with you to enjoy it. Side note: beware the Chuck E. Cheese animatronics
Lovely day out suitable for children of all ages. They have a couple of options for passes which are good if you are considering a repeat visit. There is a nice selection of exotic and more native animals to look at. There is a cafe in the grounds to eat at during the summer season, otherwise there is another outside the grounds that is open all year round. There are play areas with predominantly free to use equipment, I think there are some small motorised ride on toys that you have to pay for. One of the play areas is a splash park, so if it is a nice day 1) take a towel and a change of clothes for your child 2) expect it to be a bit busy - especially I would imagine at weekends and during holidays. We have been on Fridays both times, once in February and again in March, so it's not been overly busy - which is better for us with an under one.
Had the most beautiful time here today 21.03.36 Lovely compact park, great for all ages. Fantastic accessable paths. Gate staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Talks were informative and inclusive for all ages, giving information in simple, understandable terms and offering time for questions from all ages. Staff in Lottie's cafe were lovely, right until the end of the day. Plus there are lovely outside seating areas with thoughtful planting. All the animals we saw were well looked after in roomy enclosures. We were unable to book food for the animals as it was a last minute visit, however it did not impact our visit. If you want to feed the animals, I suggest booking in advance. We were at the park from approximately 11-3 and managed to visit all attractions and attend all talks. The only thing we didn't do was go on the tractor rides, which looked lots of fun, but we were there with teenagers who didn't want to go on 🤣 Definitely recommend and will return 👌
