So, my family have been coming here for many years and for my partners birthday, I thought it would be nice to return. It’s probably been about 5 years since I last came here. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The enclosure glass for the animals were either dirty or scratched. The place was run down and really needs to be freshened up. Some of the fish tanks didn’t have enough water in them and the huge waterfall was broken. Considering its well known for its butterflies, there were hardly any of them (my mother and father had been in April and said the same thing) you used to have to doge out the way due to the amount of butterflies. My in-laws came from Blackpool to see their son and join us and I felt awful that this place seemed to have lost its shine. There is also a rather ugly scaffolding all around the butterfly house portion which seems to be holding up the bridge. I think I would have been nice if they explained to us about it, something like ‘sorry but at the moment, they’re is some scaffolding around the butterfly house portion of our exhibit’ This place has so much potential, it’s so sad to see it go down hill like this :(

AMAAAZING I LOVE ANIMALS!! I LOVE THIS!! ITS AMAAAZING!! There’s different stations, desert, ocean, forest etc. and if you hate animals in captivity.. ITS NOT LIKE THAT! They have their own unique stations and habitats often renovated and cleaned and spots for the animals to hide. It’s like they never left!! Anyways here’s just SOME of the many spots!

Lovely little place. Great price and wonderful staff. Probably not wise to go to a tropical world on the hottest day of the year but we still very much enjoyed it. Couldn't see quiet a few animals as I assume they were hiding away from the hot day.

It has a lovely butterfly area, and quite a few areas with different critters, animals and aquatic life. I would say that some of the enclosures, such as the fish ponds and the monkey enclosures are painfully small, which makes me feel sorry for the creatures within, surely they could be given more space to roam than the tiny spaces?

Was staying 40 mins drive away and weather was poor all day. Found this place online and decided for the price we woukd give it a go and we were suprised how good it was. Its a lot bigger than it looks. We ate in the cafe and we had to wait for about 20mins to be served dispite only one other person being in front of us. Food was decent tho
