Tuckingmill Valley Park

Camborne, United Kingdom•4.3(243)•Country Park, Playground, Skate Park

Explore an award-winning regenerated park featuring walking trails, play facilities, a skate park, and creative art installations set amid restored mining heritage landscapes.

Tuckingmill Valley Park is an award-winning destination transformed from one of West Cornwall's most derelict sites into a symbol of environmental and community regeneration. Located in the heart of Camborne and Redruth, the park showcases impressive remediation work that addressed complex contamination including mine shafts, landfill, and arsenic works while preserving the area's rich mining heritage. Visitors can enjoy diverse attractions including a bespoke skate park, scenic walking trails, play facilities for children, and creative art installations set throughout the landscape. The park features distinctive architectural landmarks such as two chimney stacks that remain from its industrial past, creating striking focal points as visitors explore the grounds. The natural environment is equally compelling, with a rich mosaic of habitats including year-round yellow flowering Gorse and the Red River—named for its original mineral-stained color from historic mines. The river supports diverse invertebrate populations, including dragonflies that inspire the park's branding. A Bee Mindful walking route guides visitors on a wellness-focused exploration of the site, making it suitable for families with children of all ages seeking both outdoor recreation and environmental education.

Dog poo hell. Every person with a dog uses this place and mostly off the lead dogs jump up at you .avoid at all cost . A wasted space for inconsiderate dog owners. The children's play area is really used because of dogs

Lovely place to stretch your legs and your fur baby will love it. Car parking a bit odd... we did find a sign but the there were big concrete blocks in what seemed to be the parking bays...

Ideal for a short dog walk as you can easily make a loop around the park. There's a large grass space that dogs can exercise on. Plus a play area for children that is dog free. There's also a skate park with various ramps. There's a small, free car park in Tuckingmill that has access to the park.
