Pick-your-own vegetables and flowers at a working family farm with educational group visits and a farm shop selling home-reared meats and local produce.

Ty Poeth Farm is a working family farm nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside alongside the Monmouthshire Brecon Canal near Pontypool. Run by the Morris family with a farming heritage dating back to 1840, the farm offers visitors a chance to connect with food production and animal welfare. Visitors can enjoy pick-your-own experiences for vegetables, fruits, and flowers grown from seed in the farm's greenhouse, including lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions, and cucumbers. The farm shop stocks home-reared beef, lamb, pork, and turkey, along with farm-grown vegetables and flowers, plus a selection of local produce including honey and milkshakes. Educational group visits are now available, allowing children to learn how their food reaches their table while understanding sustainable farming practices. The farm prioritizes animal welfare, with all livestock roaming across the vast farmland. Upcoming amenities include local delivery services across Torfaen, bringing fresh farm produce directly to homes. The location is particularly appealing for families seeking outdoor activities and education about farm-to-fork sustainability.

Fantastic meats, sausages, burgers, eggs and milk straight from the farm. Pork, Chicken and Beef produces sold. Also had some very tempting looking milkshakes. Brilliant place to stop off and stock up with local produce whilst your staying in the area. So glad it was open Sunday, when I was on the way to my campsite. Narrow long private lane approach with tight turn. Ensure you keep your speed to under 10 miles an hour to reduce pothole creation. Keep dogs in your vehicle as this is a working farm.

Very friendly staff and pleasant shop. Stopped by on my weekend trip to the area to get some fresh and local food. We got some cheese, duck eggs, and local chocolate milk. It was all very yummy and fair pricing too. Rhiannon helped answer any questions and we had a pleasant chat.

We popped in to see what was available. The lady who served us was very friendly and told us all about the place. (Like many other small businesses, they need all our support!) We bought burgers and bacon. Both were excellent and led to us deciding to have a spontaneous barbecue later. We all commented on the quality of the delicious meat. We will be back!

Amazing sights and amazing farm fresh food, we met with James who runs the place and you couldn't ask for a more hospitable and friendly person. He was happy to discuss the history of the farm at length with my grandmother as well as explaining how the food is grown and produced. Will be coming back in the future!

A great experience at Ty Poeth pumkin picking !! 🎃A family run local business that have done an amazing job at creating this for all ages to enjoy! James and his daughter are so welcoming and helpful. Me and my friend wanted little pumpkins to paint and we found the perfect ones but they had so many different sizes and colours available !!🎃✨ definitely recommend supporting this wonderful business and really hope to be back next year !! Thank you
