Absolutely incredible - we stumbled across the Ullswater Steamers whilst at Center Parcs and I can't reccommend them highly enough! The staff where wonderful, and the views of the lake whilst boating across are just phenomenal. We took a ride in, and then walked the 12 ish mile Ullswater Trail back (we stopped off at Aira Falls too!) Highly reccommend if you're in the area - thank you for a spectacular day 😀

Car park for the ferry is decent but busy at times. See the pictures for prices. The car park is level and looks to be in good condition. As you drive down the road you will see another car park on the right, go past that to the bottom of the road. There is direct access to the lake from where you park. Just walk to the bottom of the carpark or over the large patch of grass. You will also find a few benches to sit and soak up the views. Great for paddle boarding? The decks for the steamer is in fine condition, as are the walk ways and rails. It look’s really well looked after, well worth a visit and a ride on the lake.

We went on the Ullswater Steamers from Pooley Bridge and did the full round‑trip tour, and it was honestly such a beautiful experience. The moment the boat pulls away from the pier, the views hit you mountains, calm water, and that classic Lake District atmosphere that feels almost unreal. The full loop is the perfect length too long enough to enjoy the scenery properly without feeling like you’re stuck on a boat all day. Starting at Pooley Bridge was ideal, and it’s really easy to get to if you’re staying nearby. If you’re visiting the area, the Pooley Bridge round trip is absolutely worth it. Peaceful, scenic, and a brilliant way to see Ullswater without having to hike or drive around. I’d happily do it again.

Great trip out on the water. Did the 75 minute sightseeing tour and it was plenty to get a really good view of the valley in December. It was freezing, but well worth it! Lovely!

A lovely experience. We had a little mishap with the tickets and the crew was very helpful in sorting things out. The cruise itself is fabulous and the pricing was reasonable. The scenery is as great as you would expected from Ullswater. The boat was in great condition and the captain has great humour which I’ll be honest, brighten up the mood even with the slightly gloomy weather. The crews were also very friendly and helpful as well.
