I’ve been climbing at VauxWall since January and bought my first pair of climbing shoes here, so I came back when I needed a second pair. Alex was absolutely brilliant. He took the time to understand what I was looking for, shared his own experience and gave genuinely helpful advice rather than just trying to sell me a pair. He also let me try different shoes on the wall, which made a huge difference in figuring out what actually worked for me. I was originally going to head to Mile End based on some advice I’d been given, but after speaking to Alex I’m really glad I stayed at VauxWall. He was knowledgeable, friendly and clearly cared about getting me into the right shoes. 10/10 experience. Massive thanks to Alex!

Decent setting also with permaroutes made of wood. Also some comp style and spray board. Staff is nice. They will give you a trick question on the safety waiver, cheeky as the locals might describe 👀❓.Space is crowded though during busy hours, making falling a concern at times. Mats are quite hard compared to the many gyms I’ve been to. Rental shoes in good shape. I am a V18 climber so my opinion is valid always

Accessible location with good transport links. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Peak times during evening are super busy (as expected) but daytime is nice and quiet… so glad that the café area is back— perfect space to work and climb. Sometimes the grading is a bit off but they’re open to feedback.

Visited on Boxing day for the first time. Great bouldering place with a good mix of problems across grades. Routes are well set and regularly changed (I've been told), so there’s always something new to work on. Clean space, solid facilities, and a friendly atmosphere without feeling intimidating. The crowd is a good mix of beginners and experienced climbers. I'm used to weightlifting however this pushes you in different ways - definitely popping back.

Great gym. One of my favourite of LCC gyms. Huge amount of climbs that are regularly reset and excellently set. One wall is reset roughly each week so there is always plenty of fresh sets. It has some huge range of wall angles, including caves, slabs, barrels, overhangs, good arete features and even some great traverse walls. This is my favourite part of the gym. Even within each wall there will be a variety of angles and features, they really squeeze it in. Regular gyms often have lots of flat 2D sections, this feels like it has more 3D movement? The setting features lots of crimps and old school climbs but they also have ana amazing comp wall, full of macros and big dynos. I always get psyched by the climbs Other features - spray wall - woodie - decent gym (no cables). - camps rungs - rings - circuit board Often busy but always friendly. Always have a good time Highly recommend!
