A beautiful park overlooking Swansea bay. A new skate ramp is currently being built too. A little coffee shop at the entrance, last time I visited, it was cash only.

As a visitor to Swansea, I had the pleasure of exploring Victoria Park, a compact yet stunning urban park that perfectly balances the hustle and bustle of the city centre with the tranquillity of nature. Located conveniently between the city centre and Mumbles, this park is a true gem for both locals and tourists alike. Victoria Park is renowned for its high-quality facilities and has rightfully earned the prestigious Green Flag Award multiple times. This recognition is a testament to the park's outstanding maintenance and the variety of amenities it offers. Whether you are looking to enjoy a casual stroll, engage in sports, or simply relax, the park has something for everyone. One of the park's most striking features is its vibrant and colourful flower bedding. Throughout the year, the park is adorned with beautiful displays of flowers and well-maintained herbaceous borders that bring the space to life. The thoughtful arrangement of these floral displays not only enhances the park's aesthetic appeal but also creates a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. Victoria Park also boasts a rich history, dating back to 1887, making it one of Swansea's oldest and most cherished green spaces. Walking through the park, you can't help but feel connected to the city's past, as this historic site has been a part of the community for well over a century. In terms of facilities, Victoria Park is exceptionally well-equipped. It features a children's play area, basketball courts, a bowling green, BMX/skate ramps, and a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), catering to both casual visitors and sports enthusiasts. The tennis courts, which can be booked through Tennis Wales in the Park, are an added bonus for those looking to enjoy a game. The availability of clean and accessible toilets further enhances the convenience for all visitors. Accessibility is a key feature of Victoria Park, ensuring that people of all abilities can enjoy this wonderful space. The park is thoughtfully designed to be accessible to all, making it a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of their mobility. The lush greenery, towering trees, and vibrant flower beds make Victoria Park a refreshing retreat within the city. The mature trees offer ample shade, making it an ideal spot for a family picnic, while the diverse flora attracts an array of birds, adding to the park's lively atmosphere. In summary, Victoria Park is much more than just a children's playground; it is a beautiful, historical, and vibrant green space that offers a peaceful escape from the urban environment. Whether you're visiting Swansea for the first time or are a regular visitor, Victoria Park is a must-see destination that showcases the natural beauty and rich history of the city
