A pretty park (great for a park run!) with a cafe, pond, and hidden gem of a butterfly farm on site!

Great little park for the kids. Especially in the heat with the splash area. Only bad thing there is no car park or any toilet. There is a ice cream place

We went for the opening of the Butterfly House, which is always lovely. Staff are knowledgeable and so friendly. This is a great park overall though it is often extremely busy and parking near can be tricky. It's always worth it - you can spend a fair amount of time here and there's the cafe (plus toilet!) and ice cream parlour if you're not the picnicking type.

A huge community park in the heart of Widnes . Parking around the perimeter. There are dog areas, cafe with disabled and children's changing room, toilets which are spotless and bright, huge children's park with water park in the warmer months, an ice-cream Parlour to cool off , the main cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, the food and drinks are reasonably priced. Books can be loaned for your enjoyment, there are wYer fountains , war memorial statues, woods , nature trails , ahuve glass greenhouse that has activities on at certain times and days , butterfly house, run by volunteers, they are always looking for volunteers so if you can help please do , the paths around the park are pram and wheelchair friendly. You can purchase duck food from a machine £1 bag but bring your own bag 🛍️. Signs are up not to feed the birds read asit is not good for them , very secure free entry park with lots to do and see 🙈🙈

Great park. I play tennis here often, followed by a lovely walk around the lake. I love the variety of birds here. The swans are stunning. Play area and splash pad is great for the kids and always pretty well managed with parents watching their children. Firm favourite place for me.
