An absolutely stunning estate — we only saw a portion of it and were already blown away by the scale, the grounds, and the sheer beauty of the place. It's the kind of setting that feeds you mentally and spiritually; we spent the whole visit taking it in. What made the day even better was how lovely the people were. The shuttle staff in particular went out of their way to look after us, which added a real warmth to an already gorgeous day. We can't wait to come back and explore the rest.

Review: I visited this place with my one-year-old daughter, and I can say that the descriptions online matched what we found there. It is a beautiful location with a fascinating history. We booked a house tour in advance, and it was definitely worth it. The house is very well maintained and full of paintings, historical items, and interesting artefacts. It was great to learn more about the history of the place and see everything up close. The main downside was that there was an art festival taking place during our visit. Parts of the lawn had been painted, which was apparently intended as an art installation, but in my opinion it looked tacky and artificial. There were also some stone arrangements that were supposed to be art, but they didn't add much to the experience. Another disappointment was that the play area was under renovation, so we couldn't visit it with our daughter. Despite these drawbacks, it is still a lovely place to visit and well worth seeing. I would give it a strong 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

One of our favourite National Trust venues. Went for the Art in Nature exhibition during half term. Last year we also spent a few hours looking around the magnificent house. You can easily spend between 4 and 6hrs there.

Absolutely love this country manor in the style of a French chateau, plenty to see and do in and around it, and the views all are stunning. There is a lovely 1 to 2 hour walk to be had around the perimeter of the gardens and farmland and a really interesting aviary. Plenty of information and map boards dotted around too, so you dont get lost. Recommend the cheistmas lights which usually go up in November.

Well now this is pretty place to visit near Aylesbury. This is a Rothschild property but those with National trust membership can visit for free. Built in the late 1800s, this a lovely estate with a stately house, gardens, restaurants and walks. We visited in early April and the spring flowers were out, carpeting the grounds in spring flowers. Obviously the rose garden was not yet in bloom and we will come back to see the roses. The house is sumptuously decorated with paintings, a fantastic Sevres collection, and statuary. There are Rothschild personal treasures as well. We spent 4 hours visiting the gardens and the house. The staff and volunteers were lovely. There is a 20-30 minute walk to and from the car park but a shuttle bus is available for £2.50 per person, for both ways. There are about 70 steps to see the bedrooms and the Rothschild treasures. There are various events throughout the year so keep an eye out on the website. Bollywood trivia, the front lawn was used in the hit Khabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum.
