Terrific day out at Picnic At The Park. Never been before. A Queen tribute band was playing on Sunday, they did really really well. Parking was a challenge as I arrived at 3.30ish, but I managed ok. A great way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. I wonder who's performing next week

Really liked Ward Park. The grounds are well kept and there’s a nice mix of birds to look at while you’re walking round. It’s a great spot to bring the dogs too, mine loved watching the ducks. Easy, relaxing walk and just a nice place to spend a bit of time.

Really lovely wee park for a stroll and to feed the ducks. Loved the new sensory garden and bug hotel giant letters. Always a good summer programme of music in the park at the band stand here and the new play park is a great addition. Duck feeder at the water with contactless payment is genius. The only reason it loses a star is the sheet amount of gigantic duck/goose poo all over the pathways. Some of them are as big as a big poo and end up with shoes covered in poop! Lovely new cafe with indoor/outdoor seating and some kids games another great addition.

Lovely area of Bangor with many happy childhood memories for me. Area has stood the test of time quite well. Water quality in the river is very poor, and some of the paths at the waters edge are heavily fouled by the resident flock of geese. The new Playpark was an immediate hit with the grandchildren, a great asset, and very popular. New toilets yet to be built.

A very pleasant place to walk and relax 🧘‍♀️. We stopped at a food market day. There was sun ☀️, music 🎶, many families with cheerful children 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 , and food 🍲. Extremely nice to try new things and tastes. The park has an exhibition of birds: small birds, peacocks and hens and roosters (Pictures below). The park is maintained, but not quite. The pools where the ducks swim are full of garbage, the water is extremely dirty. Which makes an unpleasant impression. But the duckz are friendly and hungry (in this water, food is hard to find in my opinion)...
