Lovely walk at anytime of the year with stunning views from the top. You can see Morecambe bay and the lake District on a clear day. Dog friendly however be aware of ticks in the warmer months. Lots of parking.

Easy to get to, simple parking. The walks around here are a bit mixed. From the road, there are great views. I used to come by here often on the bike for that reason. But walking off road gives you occasional views among thick dwarf woodland, if you’re lucky, watching every step. When the views happen, they’re beautiful. But few of them.

Nice little place. Easy to find off the A6 through a little village. Plenty of parking and no need to pay. There are a few circular walks to do but the 2 it recommends are the short or long walk. The long one is around 3 miles. Signposted as you are walking around. Nice scenery. A bit of climbing and slippery rocks but manageable. Lovely view of bay from the top and you can see isle of man on a clear day. There are some cows that graze on the land. Not the biggest walk in the world but definitely worth a visit if your up that way. It's all dog friendly.

Beautiful and beautifully quiet place. Great for quite time reading a book, walking the dog or for walking one of the trails. I took the summit walk over the top of the quarry. Once you reach the top the views are quite breathtaking! Would very much recommend to experienced and armature walkers alike. It's a little steep but an easy trail. Allow an hour.
