Went today and it was stunning; the grounds, to the Wat Tyler cafe food, to the abundance of wildlife was amazing! However, on the grounds (in the village) there is this little stall selling food/drinks. My partner and I waited to be served and a middle aged, dark haired woman behind the till blatantly ignored us. She looked at up multiple times and didn’t serve us or even acknowledged up. But as soon as another customer (older) went up, she greeted them with a beaming smile immediately! So rude and disrespectful in my opinion. Apart from that, everything else was beautiful and I definitely recommend!

It seems that no. 1 car park is free, but you need to walk 5-6 minutes to get to the Green Centre. The main Café doesn't allow dogs, which is a shame.

This is a wonderful little gem tucked away on the Essex coast. It has everything: refreshments, walks, kiddies play areas, picnic areas, tea and coffee cafe, toilets - and a large, free car park. During the summer it also has a miniature railway!!!

A fantastic place for a relaxing day out in Basildon. The park is huge, peaceful, and full of nature, with plenty of walking paths, open green spaces, and beautiful lakes. It’s well maintained and perfect for families, especially with the large playground and safe areas for children to explore.
