We had an absolutely fantastic day at Watatunga Wildlife Reserve near King's Lynn. The self-drive safari is a brilliant experience and gives you the chance to get incredibly close to some amazing animals while exploring the reserve at a relaxed pace. A huge thank you to Andy, our tour guide, who was outstanding. His commentary over the radio was informative, engaging, and full of fascinating facts about the animals and the conservation work being carried out. You could really tell how passionate and knowledgeable he is, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A special mention also goes to Karen, who brought up the rear of our five-buggy convoy. She was faultless throughout the tour, making sure everyone stayed together, felt safe, and had a great experience from start to finish. The organisation, the friendly staff, and the stunning wildlife all combined to make this one of the best wildlife experiences we've had. We would highly recommend Watatunga to anyone looking for a unique and memorable day out. We'll definitely be back!

We had such a lovely time at Watatunga Wildlife Reserve! The whole team was incredibly warm and welcoming, but one staff member, Sarah, was especially kind and helpful. We couldn’t book a cab back after our visit, and she even offered to give us a lift to the station — such a genuinely thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. Our guide was also fantastic: funny, engaging, and clearly passionate about the animals, which made the whole experience really enjoyable and memorable. The animals looked healthy and full of life, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It’s a wonderful place to escape the city for a while, relax in nature, and enjoy seeing amazing animals up close. Highly recommend visiting!

Had a lovely experience at Watatunga Wildlife Reserve. It's a stunning natural reserve for many beautiful animals who appear well cared for. Our guide was knowledgeable and she showed a genuine interest in the animals and their wellbeing. Pre-booking is required as tours leave at specific times and there is a limit to how many can join each tour. Self drive buggies for 4 and 6 people were available. There is a small gift shop and indoor seating for teas, coffes and ice creams. Free ice cream if it's your birthday!

We have just returned from an amazing long weekend at Watatunga Wildlife Reserve. We stayed in Majors Lodge which was spacious and lovely. We all had a wonderful time and for my son who is a full time wheelchair user the lodge was fully accessible. We had the use of a wheelchair accessible buggy throughout our stay and that gave us the freedom to enjoy the incredible animals several times a day. We also had our own accessible bird hide! A truly memorable weekend!!

Absolutely fantastic experience. We've been to a deer park before in Scotland, but driving yourself around in a buggy made the experience 💯% better. The two guides were amazing. Very informative, we got to see a wide variety and definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
