What a beautiful experience visiting this gen of a relic. It still has enough to create imagery in your head. Space and stones and such views. Highly recommended and that 500 year old Yew tree is stunning

Waverley Abbey was the very first monastery founded in Britain. It is a beautiful, peaceful spot to walk with your dog through the tranquil ruins or by the lake. It is very well kept and usually litter free. It used to have a small parking area and no amenities but this has been changed by the adjacent Waverley House opening up its gardens and cafe to the public. There is now a large free car park and a dog friendly cafe offering a good range of food at reasonable prices including gluten free and vegetarian options.

Interesting ruins in lovely countryside. Good for quiet walks. Nearby cafe highly recommended, good food, friendly staff, and spotlessly clean. Reasonable prices.

I think this is one of those underrated places with historical identity . It has long story of monks settlement in uk and this area is also beautiful by nature . Worth to visit . Highly recommended

I love this place, especially when it's a lovely sunny day. The cafe at Waverley abbey house is very nice, very friendly staff, hot food, cakes etc. 😋 All dogs must be kept on a lead to respect cattle and local wild life especially nesting water birds in spring. We walked from Farnham, but there is limited parking, I am not sure if it's free
