Wellholme Park is a vibrant 14-hectare green space in Brighouse town centre offering diverse activities for families and visitors of all ages. The park features a spectacular play area with a double web net standing over 6 metres high, a dedicated skate park, and four tennis courts available for hire. Families can also enjoy crazy golf (pay and play), an outdoor gym, and access to the adjacent Brighouse Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre. The park is renowned for its spectacular floral bedding displays and carefully managed natural environment. Visitors can stroll through woodlands, relax by Clifton Beck that runs through the heart of the park, or enjoy picnics in the designated Thornhill Beck Picnic Area with benches and facilities. The on-site cafe provides refreshments and a welcoming space to rest with family and friends. Recently improved as part of the Brighouse Flood Alleviation Scheme, the park combines leisure with wildlife conservation, featuring areas of natural grassland and positive woodland management that support diverse bird and plant species including Tree Creepers, Herons, Bluebells, and Wild Garlic. The park holds QEII Fields In Trust status, protecting it for future generations. Open daily from noon (5pm winter, 8pm summer), the park is easily accessible by bus, train, or car from the M62 motorway.

The park has been developed as part of the Brighouse flood defence's and after visiting I can see why. The way they have done it though is really well thought out. Most of the time it will be a lovely green area which is very relaxing to walk around. They have included cycle paths as well so it's suitable for both walkers and cyclists. But during heavy rain you can tell that it will hold a lot of water hopefully preventing Brighouse from being flooded.

Renovated the area recently and it's a pleasant place to walk (although needs more dog waste bins) and the wild flower area is nice, might be more interesting when rain falls and the stream fills up a bit!! Skatepark (although small!) and play area are what you'd expect. Overall not bad to waste a hour or so with your four legged friend and kids!

Spent a lot of money now was it worth it or not only time will tell I guess but a lot of business had to suffer small local businesses not big corporations

Nice park. Good playground for the kids. Nice you can have dogs in there as well on the lead. There’s some nice open areas to walk on and a nice garden area. The skate park is basic but ok for children.
