Snowdonia Star - observation seats, such Golden Tickets, a treat and what a view! But...the seats are not comfortable at all. There are 6 observation seats (3 fixed side tables), the rest of the carriage are the traditional individual pullman seats facing each other (fixed). Also worth noting,your view is hindered on the return journey locked by the front of the steam train. If your paying the extra, buy the pullman tickets and order prosecco in style!

Wow! The journey between Caernarfon and Beddgelert must be one of the most picturesque in the country. All the staff are friendly and helpful, the trains are comfortable and the engines are wonderful.

What a great heritage railway! We came from portmadoc to caernarfon on on this train and it was about a 26 miles journey that lasted a couple of hours. It was fantastic. There was a toilet on the train and if you're going first class you can have afternoon tea. Hypothy cart does come round for the people that aren't in first class, we would have travelled in first that's however we had over it so we had to go any second. Front portmadoc, you can also go to Blaino Festineyog.

Fantastic trip on the snowdonia star the weather was extremly hot but staff kept us well hydrated.A special mention to Leah who looked after us.The scenery is lovely and the time in Porthmadog was well spent.Would realky recommend the pullman carriage for a little luxury.

Very enjoyable trip from Caernarfon to Belgelert, we chose the Pullman Gold service and we're very impressed with the standard of service and comfort. The carriage was finished in fine woodwork and brass fittings, we were served by Chris and Sandra who were very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.
