Took my daughter in July 2024 and we visited again yesterday. I love this zoo mainly because it's very intimate especially on a week day when theirs less people. It's got a wide range of animals to see and it's well set out. The lady in the restaurant was very helpful and as a side point theirs excellent views from both the café and the safari restaurant. It's got a nice little gift shop and also some nice garden areas and a really impressive outdoor play area. One thing I'd change is better signage around the zoo because it's quite hard to work out where you are from the map. Also, if you don't walk well I would hire a scooter because even with a wheel chair it would be difficult in certain parts as it's VERY hilly. I think some people would struggle pushing a wheelchair up some of the hills. But a brilliant day out for all ages. I'll be getting an annual pass for me and my daughter! A lovely place to visit, can take a full day to get round and see everything with some good displays during the day. Cafe food was really nice and well worth the money, really friendly and knowledgeable staff. We paid for primate experience but not as good as we had hoped, we could only feed a spider monkey with a stick, had to throw treats over a wall to the chimps and the wall was so high my wife couldn't see what was happening from where we were stood and only had 5 minutes with lemurs and got rushed along. Whole experience lasted about 40 minutes but a lot of walking between the animals.

Lovely family day out at an affordable price. I went as a kid and enjoyed it then and it has got better. The grounds are lovely and well kept, that are easily accessible to all, including wheelchair access to most areas. The animals are well looked after and the keepers obviously love them and their jobs, they are also lovely people and are approachable and knowledgeable. There is a wide range of animals living there from a tiger down to otters. With plenty of parking, cafes, ice cream vans, souvenir shop and picnic area, you could easily spend the day there and wear out the kids. Its easily reached by car and I believe there us a bus nearby with a walk to the zoo. It is a bit of a trek on foot from from Rhos on Sea, but the local taxi company offer a good rate from town.

Such a fun day at the Welsh Mountain Zoo! Honestly, a really great experience from start to finish. The place is huge: acres of greenery with animals that genuinely look well cared for and comfortable in their spaces, which made it even more enjoyable to walk around. There were some lovely little coffee spots dotted around, and the coffee was actually really good; such a nice break while exploring. The whole vibe felt very wholesome, with families around, kids enjoying ice cream, and just a really safe, relaxed atmosphere overall. My absolute favourite had to be the chimp. we literally had a one-on-one moment, and I’m convinced there was some real conversation happening there! The flamingos were stunning too, such a highlight. Also, the ice cream was So good. Definitely a must while you’re there. It’s the kind of place where you’d easily need a good 2–3 hours (and that’s without stopping every two minutes for pictures) to properly see everything. A perfect day out!! 10/10, would absolutely recommend!

Visited the zoo at midday , git family ticket for 2 adults and kids . Parking is decent near the souvenir shop. There is an icream shop next to it . Safari restaurant is just behind . We didn't try that when we went . Plenty of play areas for kids . All the animals are interesting and accessible to see fir everyone . Good thing the zoo was not too crowded . It's built on hilly slopes so all enclosures are overlooking the area down below . We managed to see most of the attractions . There are talk shows at regular timings telling you about the animals . The views from the top of the hill are beautiful. Definitely worth a visit .
