What a lovely little railway this is gorgeous views through Welshpool valleys Staff very friendly and super support for my disabled with with a one off bespoke lifting device for wheelchair Engine and carriages were also good Well done guys

Absolutely amazing little steam railway. Staff are second to none on their friendlyness and knowledge, felt really personal and like everybody on the train was as important to their attention as the next. The train itself is fantastic, if that's your sort of thing! You take the train to the nearby town where you can get a sandwich or other lunch items and visit the gift shop before taking the train back again.

Really enjoyed our afternoon out on the train. Trip from Welshpool to Llanfair. Train was lovely and well kept. We purchased the tickets by calling the office as we had enough people for a group booking (a little bit more money off). The lady on the phone was extremely helpful and pleasant. Went out of her way to help us. Laurence the guard on board was extremely polite and helpful, with lots of useful information. We could have done with a bit more time in Llanfair to explore around, but that’s our fault for being on the last train. We had food at the Llanfair end of the line and the food was excellent although the staff were a little short and lacked a bit of customer service (but they could have had a long day!) Excellent trip!

A great little Railway, let down by failures and lack of attention. The staff were great and at Llanfair I was shown around by a very helpful volunteer- it was a special vintage car rally day but 3 cars do not a rally make! It need to make better public transport connects as with them it is often not possible to visit for the day if you don't have a car. You also need to take a cushion as the traditional wooden carriages often have no upholstery and are hard wooden benches. The transport museum at Llanfair is close by and worth a visit.

Wonderful narrow railway 🚂 not expensive, great friendly helpful staff. Nice little cafe & gift shop on site . Visited today for the mince pie special 30/12/22 very pleasant hour trip with a mulled drink & mince pie £13 adult. Beautiful scenery following the river banwy, recommended day out for families & couples, look out for the steam gala in September.
