Full-service restaurant offering dining experiences including cheese-themed afternoon tea service
Great tour, really fun! The lady conducting the tour knew her facts and had a lovely manner to deliver the information. This is a must if you are a cheese lover and a fan of Wallace and Gromit. We booked the cheese afternoon tea. It is a fun concept, but a little too cheesy. In retrospect, I probably did not need to eat that much cheese. All in all a really fun day out.
Great cheese making experience, interesting stuff about history of the factory and cheese making. Kids loved Wallace and Gromit sculpture. Good shop with lots of souvenirs and obviously cheese to buy. Had afternoon tea in the restaurant and was lovely. Good value for money and delicious.
I loved our trip here, we did the cheese making tour, and found it brilliant, very well presented and informative. Moving on to the cheese tasting and viewing of the working factory... We had a table booked in the restaurant having afternoon tea for 2, and 2 children meals, all very nice, and very happy helpful staff throughout... I'd definitely recommend a visit here. (Tip, we parked in the parking just before the factory, only a 2 minute walk)
If you like cheese, then this place is a MUST and so is their cheesy afternoon tea!! They have a fantastic selection of cheeses, we did the demonstration on how they make the cheese and that was so good and informative. You can also try all the cheeses before you buy, they have a lovely gift shop too.
What a lovely peaceful 1.5hrs at Wensleydale Creamery. Did the short "experience" which was only a fiver, and consisted of a show and tell of how cheese is made followed by a walk through of some information boards and Wallace and Gromit knitted models. Engaging presentation and tasters of different cheeses afterwards. The cafe' area and shop also has tasters and cheeses to buy as well as pickles and chutneys and fruit cake et al. Didnt tey the restaurant but would love to. Menu looks amazing. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend for a gentle, serene experience fitting for the area.
