We visited the park on a very hot day. We were lucky to arrive just as the park opened, so we had the chance to watch the animals enjoying their breakfast. The feeling of being so close to nature is truly incredible. It really makes you feel as if you've been transported to the wilds of Africa (and beyond!). Overall, I would highly recommend this place. It's definitely worth the money, and I'd suggest setting aside the whole day to enjoy it properly – from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Brilliant day out. The exhibits were great. We got to feed the giraffe for £5 each aswell which was a great experience. The only complaint I would have is that there weren’t enough food and drink stands open. Which made the ones that were very busy. The rides were really great fun. Play park the kids loved it. The drive through safari was pretty mental tbh. We didn’t want to do it first but ended up doing it on arrival because I didn’t think the signs were that obvious. But we ended up stuck in it for nearly 2 hours because other drivers couldn’t be patient so ended up causing massive traffic jams. So many great animals to see and they are clearly very well looked after.

We had an absolutly lovely day here as a family recently. My 5 yo and I took my husband for the first ever time and I'm not really sure who enjoyed it more. The drive through is brilliant with lots to see and for the first time ever we actually spotted the tiger walking around too. The park itself is also brilliant. Clean, tidy and easy to navigate. We went on a very hot day at the start of the heatwave, friendly staff are more than happy to refill water bottles. We got ours refilled at the little ice-cream stall near the bats. Daughter loves the sealion show, it is brilliant. It is however absolutely roasting on a sunny day as there is no shade - many people were leaving half way through as it was just too hot. The show is on during what would be one of the hottest points of the day so it is a shade there is no shade provided as it's a show we wouldn't want to miss. We have been a few times now and have only encountered one rather rude member of staff just inside the lorikeets. She was firm on getting everyone to use handheld before they entered (absolutely fine) but was rather rude when I told her it was empty and offered to swap the bottle of it for another one she had. We would return. The free return makes the price feel much more reasonable. Just check when it's able to be used.

I mostly enjoyed the Giraffe Jamboree group, and Sealion Theatre for their commitment and great fun. even in the heat, all staff had an approachable nature and happy to help. The safari is good, there is a dual lane for overtaking and continuing traffic moving. The safari goes through a dual gate section a few times and this is where the dual lane is redundant. You will be waiting in both car lanes at the dual gates for lions and dogs. No staff come quickly to help the traffic, rightfully, they don't need to be eaten. Lots of animals to see anyway. But the main features of elephants and giraffes can be seen on the safari walk, which is all uphill. Not very accessible for wheelchairs as far as I am deducing. The park has a lot of animals to see still, bugs, reptiles, bats in their cave, sealions and penguins, red pandas and more and an amazing Lemur path where you can be beside a Lemur as it sings "I like to move it". The theme park is outstanding. If your child is over 1 metre then it is worth getting the wristband, otherwise you can pay £7 per ride where there's still your standard fairground rides that are fun and inclusive. Good food options, and toilets. Not a large park, and yet a good walk and lots to do so a great familt day journey out.

We had a really good day out at West Midlands Safari Park and the kids absolutely loved it. The safari drive-through is still a great experience, and there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained throughout the day. The added bonus of the rides makes it feel like more than just a safari park, which is great for families trying to get value from a full day out. That said, it does feel like the focus has shifted slightly. There seems to be a lot of investment going into the more premium “lodge” accommodation, which is impressive, but it would be nice to see more attention put back into the safari itself, the rides, and the overall park experience. A few areas could definitely do with a refresh. In particular, the dinosaur and Ice Age exhibits feel quite run down and in desperate need of investment. Some of the models look worn, and a few of the dinosaurs were either broken or just in poor condition, which takes away from what should be a really exciting part of the park for kids. One other thing that stood out was the responses to customer reviews. They appear very generic and copy-and-paste, which doesn’t give the best impression when people are taking the time to leave feedback. Overall, it’s still a fun day out and we enjoyed it, but there’s room for improvement. I would have given 4 stars, but dropped it to 3 because of the lack of personalised responses and the direction the park seems to be heading.
