I've been coming to the West Reservoir since 2020 and I think it's amazing that we have a place like this to swim, in a city like London. I disagree with some that the new set up isn't as good as it use to be. Absolutely love the showers and changing areas. However, I have always been against the very strict swimming pattern we have to follow. It's already quite restricted with how many people that can be in the water. Wearing bright caps and the bright orange float should warrant a much more relaxed experience in the reservoir. Coming from a Scandinavian country where "wild swimming" is just swimming, I wish it could get a bit less army like.

Usually a lovely experience as I’ve been coming for years but there’s always the odd aggressive staff member who can’t communicate appropriately. Today at reception the young man just barked ‘where you going!?’ rather than ‘hello, do have a booking?’ as i tried to go to the cafe not knowing the building structure and rules had changed. In the cafe I was talking to another regular customer who couldn’t swim as his dog was no longer allowed on the side (with his swimming friends) despite him being allowed to bring her for months now. Just a shame basic polite communication skills from some staff let down the experience, otherwise it’s great.

Absolutely love West Reservoir. Kind supportive and friendly staff, well organised and run. Being in the water makes a whole difference to my wellbeing. Highly recommend

A lovely place to swim and much needed. I appreciate there are staff/maintenance costs but it's absolutely criminal to have to pay over £13 to swim in a pond. I really wish it was more reasonable/accessible because at the moment it's a rare treat.
