Children must visit this place. The little ones might not know the history but they would LOVE the village and the Beowulf trail. We had a lovely day with our little ones. They enjoyed the village, explored each room and then they enjoyed cycling on the Beowulf trail while exploring all of the monsters.

I am giving 5 stars but, apart of museum and small exposition at the entrance there's little to see. All huts are representation of how could they be centuries ago. But that's obvious no wood could survive that long being exposed to the forces of nature. Ticket prices are really fair, there's a car park nearby for your convenience, toilets and cafeteria. The staff were amazing. All in all, it is worth to stop by and uave a wonder, it is a cherished piece of history of this country.

Simply no better place to go in the area. Lovely Cafe now run by Grounds who do an excellent job. There are lovely walks suitable for all abilities. Play park with sand for kids. A lake, a stream and has a story. It also has it's own micro climate it's always warmer here.

For me it did not justify the £8.50 fee per person, as it could barely hold my interest for little more than an hour, and I had paid for a party of six people. History has never really been my passion personally, but I did not find it visually engaging.

Fully recommend. The volunteers were full of information. The place itself great to wander around and can go inside all the buildings. Great info boards saying what they reckon it would have been like. Lots of things to do for kids too. I may have only come here with my partner but we're big kids so definitely had fun brushing sand off artifacts and a board type game (sorry can't remember the name). It was in November but was so quiet, mostly had the place to ourselves. Also, slight side note but great lattes at the café on site with great views!
