Great place to bring the kids or for a dog walk. Managed by the forestry commission it has some good level paths suitable for push or wheel chairs. Off the main paths it's the usual uneven forest walk. Good carpark, now payable with an APNR camera but still worth the money. Car park free for FC members

Lovely walk, great for dogs. We were walking my daughter's dog who is reactive, but most of the other dogs were sticking to the main path so we could divert down the side tracks to avoid them.

Wheldrake woods is a fantastic place to walk with or without dogs. It has an abundance of wildlife and deer can often be seen in and around the wood. Lovely display of Rhododendrons in spring. The trees are regularly logged allowing for new tree growth which can change the look of the woods dramatically.

Brilliant woodland around 300acres.many different routes to take so never the same walk and very rarely see anyone else.mostly enclosed to let the dogs off. Good parking area Broad Highway, Wheldrake, YO19 4FF. Picnic bench by pond. No poo bin.
