A hidden gem this large park, has ample space for ball games, is dog friendly, it has a well equipped and maintained children’s play area. There is a gravel track that runs around the perimeter of the park, ideal for young cyclists to ride safely, there is a cafe in the centre of the park that does reasonably priced snacks, drinks and ice cream. There is a small crazy golf course, clubs can be hired from the cafe for £3 along with a refundable deposit on the club. The course is in urgent need of update and repair. At the time I visited it was a happy safe environment. It has outdoor exercise equipment (for adults only) Events are published on their website. There are 2 car parks both have limited free parking
Beautiful park with maps for lovely walking paths through woods and along a stretch of water then leading onto fields with new trees planted. Also has football pitches, plenty of field space for playing and picnics. Crazy golf and a big play equipment area for children by the restaurant/cafe. I had the most amazing Turkish breakfast in the cafe as you can see in the photo. This also came with sourdough toast, jam and clotted cream! My friend had smashed advocado and scrambled egg on toast with bacon. Other food on the menu included breakfasts, omelette, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and more. Staff were friendly and helpful and there is also outdoor seating. The cafe is dog friendly inside and out. The toilets were outside the cafe in the actual park but very well kept, clean and pleasant smelling with plenty of toilet roll. All in all really enjoyed our visit.
Big park with a nice circular walkway and plenty of space for kids to play. It has got football field, a beautiful garden, kids playground and some fixed free hand exercise instruments. Plenty of free parking space. Ideal to spend a wonderful afternoon with family in the midst of nature to get fresh air and relax. My kids loved it and want to visit again.
Stunning park, so well taken care of, it makes it a lovely space to spend time in. Play area for children, football pitches, tennis and basketball courts, fitness areas, open spaces, and a memorial walk (plaques celebrating local hero's) Dog friendly (PLEASE pick up after your dog so it remains dog friendly, please!) Lovely little cafe (hot drinks, ice creams, food , and liver cakes for dogs!) Picnic tables. Bathrooms available. A small free parking lot.
Lovely spacious park with perimeter pathway. Several entrances and a couple of car parks. Large children's playground with ample seating for those with dear dogs or who want to watch the world go by. Lovely coffee shop with a good selection of hit and cold drinks and cake and snack options.
