Beautiful area with incredibly helpful Cranewatch volunteers to help ypu spot wildlife.

Saw cranes and chick's, plus marsh harriers and egrets. Warden was very informative. For such a small area it was well worth the visit.

Small car park next to a nature reserve where you can see the cranes. Lovely to see. The only downside is the road from Bourne is bouncy and you have to be careful not to go to fast as you can scrape your car.

Honestly isnt worth the trip. If you live in spalding I suppose ita place to go but there's nothing there apart from the bird watching huts. Spent loads of money on that by the looks of it but, the wildlife you see here you can see anywhere along the river welland. Its no different to walking along many of the river tracks in the area. And the fact dogs aren't allowed is just another reason not to attend. Also to add its not a walk, you cant walk round the reserve. Its highly misleading. Should be advertised as a bird watching station, and the fens are the same no matter where you go, Bourne woods would be a better locations for a walk

Never knew this site existed until today. Really nice place to visit with the family and I can imagine it's even better in the summer. Our party or 5 had free reign of the entire area to ourselves and we had a great time. We didn't really know what to expect, but it's basically a nature reserve with extremely good access for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and great facilities. Everything from the walkways, toilets and bird hides are all very well maintained and modern. It's a spacious and quiet place that is what you make it. We didn't see anyone on our tour around it, and naturally we were respectful, but certainly appreciated the 'go where and do what you like' philosophy that seems to exist.
