Beautiful cathedral which is definitely worth a visit. Tickets can be paid at the door or online, and give you 12 months access after that. Nice exhibition upstairs on Kings and the Cathedral itself. We were lucky to enjoy our visit whilst listening to the organ being played. Dog friendly.

Hello, I am a Korean traveling across the UK participating in martial arts competitions. I have visited many cathedrals, but this is the first time I have seen one with such a long nave. It is a truly magnificent place. You can see how the Bible was written, and various exhibits ranging from the early Anglo-Saxon Christian history to the modern era are displayed on the upper floors. I brought a gaming device and played Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which gave me a fun time comparing Old minster from the Viking invasion era with the current cathedral. Also, the guides treated us kindly, and we shared interesting stories about history. Thank you so much!

Visited Winchester Cathedral today and honestly just felt really grounded being there. There’s something powerful about standing in a place where people have come for centuries carrying hope, grief, prayer and gratitude. It makes you pause for a moment and remember we’re all just passing through time together. A very peaceful, uplifting and somehow at the same time humbling place. ✨ The tour provided by the staff was fascinating and was excellent.

It's a massive cathedral with gothic architecture and a vast history. If you go up on the top floor of the exhibition inside, they even play some music and mass recorded from centuries ago. They also have tours for The Crypt and you may have to ask the staff for that. The cathedral is beautiful from inside and it has some fine chapels, it may take about 1-2 hours to see everything. Dont miss the services or the evensong they have almost everyday. That's the best experience.

Winchester Cathedral is a beautiful and very special place with a long history. It’s also where Jane Austen is buried, which makes the visit even more meaningful. The atmosphere inside is calm and lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful, happy to answer questions with a smile. It’s also dog-friendly, which was a nice bonus. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Winchester.
