Such a lovely place for a day out with the kids. 🦌 The deer are free to roam and you can see them quite up close, which the children absolutely loved. The park itself is spacious, well looked after and perfect for a relaxed walk. It feels peaceful and a nice escape from the busy city, even though it’s not far at all. We’ve been a couple of times now and always enjoy it. Definitely a great spot for families — will be coming back again.

Wonderful day trip out. You can spend the whole day and still not get around all of it. Everything is so well maintained and tidy, there are multiple museums, lots of gardens, parks, cafes and a golf course. There was even a Victorian style fun fair there while we visited. We will definitely be back for a second visit

Set in a beautiful spot. Plenty of parking available at £5 a vehicle. Admission to hall on Mother's Day weekend was just £2 per person and was well worth that. Natural History Museum was interesting and well laid out but the Steam Museum was fabulous. Bit of a wait for refreshments in the cafe but not too terrible considering how busy the place was on the day. Would recommend a visit for the grounds alone, on a decent weather day, but not sure the usual full admission fee would be worth it.

If you don't want to go into the hall you don't have to- £30 for a family of 3. The T-rex inside is impressive and there was a lot to look at . parking is reasonable and separate cost to entry to the hall and you get to walk all around the estate and Cafes offer a wide selection not to overpriced.

What a beautiful place! This is my first visit, and I decided to visit the gardens and the grounds, although next time I come I will definitely take a look inside the hall. The car park is £5 for all day, and very flexible with different payment methods. There was plenty to explore around the grounds, catching the deers, and the cute wildlife. I went on a bit of a misty/foggy day and it was still lovely, especially if you have the right footwear! I also called into the cafe for a jacket potato and a coffee which was delicious and very well priced. I will definitely be coming back again in the near future.
