I visit the steam room/sauna at 7am most week days but it is regularly not switched on or is cold indicating it has only just been switched on. I pay for a monthly pass solely to use this facility but I feel I'm not getting the benefit I don't know why they don't install timers so as not to rely on staff remembering to turn them on

This was our first visit to the leisure pool. We visited with our children and overall they had a good time. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a larger slide, a small slide for younger children and a water spray feature. However, apart from the facilities aimed at younger children, I felt there was not much else for children to do. The larger slide seemed more suitable for older children, so my children were not confident enough to use it. My main concern was cleanliness. The changing rooms, lockers and surrounding areas did not seem very clean, and I noticed what appeared to be mould in several corners. The floors also looked dirty in places. I was also surprised to see lifeguards walking around the pool area in shoes. Another issue was the lack of showers or rinse stations near the entrance to the pool, where visitors could quickly rinse off before entering the water. The hair dryers were also not working during our visit, which was particularly inconvenient after swimming with children. Overall, the children enjoyed themselves, but for a leisure pool I expected more facilities for children and a higher standard of cleanliness.

Went to the main swimming pool today. For the first time in a couple of years. It was very busy given the hot weather and bank holiday. I found the experience so mixed. There was constant signs stating no diving. Yet constant groups of lads where for ages until they eventually told them to stop. The fire alarm went off and we had to leave the pool for a few minutes. Just to go back in with apparently no problem. im pretty sure they did this on purpose to get rid of some people. On the return to the pool groups of lads continued to dive again and nothing was done about it. One kid eventually got kicked out when many kd them should much earlier. Also I assumed the roped off lanes were for people who wanted to actually properly swim? Rather than just messing about . But clearly not. A couple just stood in the middle blocking everyone forcing us all to swim around and nothing was said. There should be more of a place for actual swimmers. People who just want to splash about should be made to gotoll to the leisure pool

I am a regular member of Woodford, The staff are friendly, especially the front of desk, sauna & steam is decent, really could do with air con & a cold water feature in the sauna area. The gym is basic but it has everything you need, its a pleasant environment depending what time you go, I wouldn't recommend an evening, my critique of the gym would be a) to impose the ban of filming (the reason I joined) and b) although hard to enforce, occasionally youll get people staying on the cable machines for 45-1 hour. There is 2 fellas who work in thr gym who are really pleasant and friendly. Cleaning the equipment and genreally doing a good job. The swimming area is good, the staff around the pool again, very pleasant. Its not an amazing leisure centre by any means but it is well equipped to handle your needs if you need gym equipment, a pool and the sauna and steam room.

The staff and facilities cannot be faulted and the cafe has improved by 100%, the cafe staff are excellent too, but please, please stop non blue badge holders from parking in the disabled bays. This is a huge obstacle for disabled visitors and a major put off. If thoughtless people are not deterred they will continue to park there.
